A Season of Endless Live Performances Not To Miss
This summer’s 2010 concerts are the cream of the crop. As ticket prices have skyrocketed and the economy has taken a turn for the worst, you’re going to have to be selective as to which concerts you can afford. The options are endless as is the talent. There are a great variety of genres and line-ups for you to choose from. Most agree that the best summer concerts are those outdoors where you can either lay on a blanket or stand in a claustrophobic (yet enthusiastic) crowd and enjoy your favorite artist of the year as the sun goes down.
First up, we’ve got the eclectic, yet talented Lady Gaga. Her costumes are overdone and puzzling, but her music is innovative and catchy. Her fame has boomed astronomically this past year. Though many are overly critical of her appearance, it is important to acknowledge Gaga for her own uniqueness, deviating from societies norms and defining her own idea of beauty. Her few musical performances seen on music award shows expose a concert set of complexity and extravagance. With expensive production, ticket costs range from $59 to $215! (After all, how else is she gonna pay for a Kermit-covered outfit?) It’s hard to find someone who can’t vibe along to a Gaga song so you are ensured a crowd of devout and ecstatic fans. A night with Gaga might be pricy, but everyone knows this girl will put on a great show.
The ever-soulful Dave Matthews Band tour will never end. They have gathered an enormous fan base and every customer ‘comes again.’ Dave Matthews Band (DMB) allows concertgoers to film their shows and post them for other viewers on YouTube and other similar sites. Performing all through the night, DMB is known to play all their classic hits with extended instrumental editions. Throughout the years, DMB has maintained low-ticket prices to keep their fan base, their concert crowds massive and to play the game fairly. DMB is far less interested in the fame than in playing exceptional music for their committed fans.
Lastly, Justin Bieber is sweeping the nation with live performances this Summer. He arguably became famous over night. With hits such as ‘Baby’ and ‘One Time,’ Bieber has had girls falling in love with him at the young age of 16. He has received floods of fan mail and his childhood charm was discovered via YouTube. Bieber has the dance moves and romantic, tender lyrics to sway any crowd into oblivion.
Make sure to check out the many talented performers this summer!
