GLEE without music? GLEE rumors get answered!

We’ve all been sitting around all summer waiting to hear the latest on Glee. Here are some of the rumors that Pink and Black found.

1. Bye, bye music on Glee!

Sadly – Kinda true! Ryan Murphy, Glee creator, confirmed that season two was going to be scaled back to five numbers, saying “…What we realized is people love the numbers but they love the characters just as much. So in the second season we’re going back to five numbers.”

2. Rachel and Finn: Together forever?

Gasp! True – for season two, at least! Ryan Murphy plans to see how Finchel plays out, saying: “Rachel and Finn broke up twice. So, let’s keep them together–these two very different people–and let’s really see how an entire season, if there’s no breakup scenes, what that couple looks like at the end of the season.”

3. Rachel’s soon-to-be arch nemesis had surgery to enhance her appearance for the show.

Sadly – confirmed! The 18 year-old Filipino singer, Charice, underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox injections. Set to make her debut in the fall, the singer admits she felt pressure to look good next to Lea Michelle.

4. Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Kevin McHale (Artie) are an item off-screen.

Depends who you believe! People magazine green lighted the relationship, but when asked, Miss Tina replied, “It would be little incestuous [and] a little weird. But we’re all so close that we figure anything will come out.”

5. Quick (Quinn and Puck) set to start strong season two!

Not quite yet! While Murphy dishes that Puck still loves Quinn, he adds, “she needs to go off and find herself again”.

Some Guest Stars Approved, Others Debunked

  • Crazy April Rhodes (Kristin Chenoweth) is set to return! In related news, for those that missed Terri (Will’s slightly insane, estranged ex-wife) on the latter part of season one, she’s set to return with a vengeance for season two.
  • Rachel’s ex, Jessie St. James (Jonathan Groff), will be overseas until January 2011 – that’s a no-go for him returning immediately… if at all.
  • Javier Bardem and Jenny from the block (Jennifer Lopez) will guest star, maybe! Julia Roberts, Britney Spears, Katie Holmes and Snoop Dogg will not. Why “maybe” for the former? While Murphy confirmed both, nothing has been set in writing yet.
  • Kurt’s dad becomes series regular! Mike O’Malley (Burt Hummel, father of openly gay and always fabulous, Kurt) pulled some serious heart strings in the season one episode, Wheels, solidifying him an Emmy nod for outstanding guest appearance and a spot as a series regular.
