Nothing can compare to unearthing a hidden gem in the often monotonous world of music.  Cue Andrew Belle; an indie artist on-the-rise who hasn’t earned nearly enough credit for his haunting lyrics, raspy vocals and impeccable musical arrangements.  Belle’s 2008 EP, All Those Pretty Lights, is full of acoustic tracks that are sure to make your heart melt.  Belle’s music has been featured on popular shows like 90210 and The Real World, and he was even voted “Best Breakout Artist” in Chicago by MTV.  Belle’s biggest break to date came when his song, “In My Veins,” was featured on the season 6 finale of Grey’s Anatomy.

Belle’s most recent full-length release, The Ladder, is a mind-blowing compilation of ballads, upbeat songs and haunting melodies.  A popular track is “Static Waves” featuring Katie Herzig, that personifies the bitter regret and confusing emotions that come along with leaving a relationship behind.  Belle attributes his success to bands like Counting Crows, Third Eye Blind and The Verve pipe for his success.  They are all bands who he calls his inspirations.
