When it comes to your wardrobe there are a few key pieces that every girl needs. Think of iconic fashionistas like Carrie Bradshaw and Victoria Beckham, besides having expensive stylists these stylish ladies know how to build a strong wardrobe. They know the importance in owning classic, timeless pieces that will become essentials to your wardrobe. Those being: a white-button down, little black dress, basic pumps and lace dress.

 White Button-Down

Every girl needs one, I can’t emphasis that anymore. Once you own a white button down you realize how essential it is to your wardrobe. It can be dressed up with pencil skirts for the office or for a trendy and edgy look pair it with a leather skirt. A white button down is one shirt that has never gone out of style and never will. I urge you to invest in a simple cut, well fitting button-down.

Little Black Dress

Some people feel the little black dress is cliché and so what if it is. It’s a cliché because it works. There will come in a time in your life where you have no earthly idea of what to wear and that LBD hanging in your close with be your lifesaver. An LBD is a great piece because it’s like a canvas. You can pair it with many different pieces to create whatever look you want.  The key is to buy it in a timeless cut that looks amazing on you.

Basic Pumps

While we all love our crazy heels whether their adorned with rhinestones or studs, but what every girl really needs in their closet is a team of basic neutral flats. It is essentially for you to have a pair of black and nude pumps. Both are timeless colors that go with virtually everything. Just adding these two shoes alone you will be amazed at how much you outfit options expand.

Lace Dress

Many people are shocked that my final essential piece is a lace dress but the truth is lace is the epitome of femininity. Lace has been in the fashion eye for years and it will continue to be. I recommend that every girl invest in a lace dress, preferably one with a simple and clean cut. You will be in awe of how much you will wear this piece. It is surprisingly very versatile. (TIP: Pair it with a chambray top and boots for an unexpected combination)
