Best Dressed at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards
The golden popcorn; sparkly, classic, and all around wild. That’s what you can expect from fashion at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards which was hosted this year by Russell Brand at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California.
Other than the big-time movies who won in various categories, such as “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1″ and “The Hunger Games,” the celebrity fashion came with an award in its self.
Kat Graham, who is best known for her breakout role as Bonnie Bennett in The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” was this year’s Special Style Correspondent for the MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show.
Kat looked very glamorous in her black low v-neck and high slit Maria Lucia Hohan dress.
Kat joined Josh Horowitz, Jim Cantiello, and Sway Calloway from MTV News to talk to all the hotshot celebs walking down the red carpet Sunday evening. In attendance was everyone from Emma Stone to Leighton Meester to The Black Keys, who showed up in Tiffany blue jump suits.
Every year a new trend is seen on the red carpet and this year it was a mix of classic to party girl shimmer.
Many female celebs worked the classic LBD – but with a little twist. Julianne Hough wore a Sally LaPointe black dress with a bare midriff cut-out.
Also rocking the classic black was Shailene Woodley, who won “Best Breakthrough Performance” for her role in “The Descendants.” She wore a low v-neck halter jumpsuit by Stella McCartney.
Another classic glam ensemble was Charlize Theron in her red strapless dress by Lanvin, who isn’t so much trend cautious, but rather comfortable and elegant.
Janelle Monae topped her style off with a black suit and chapeau by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.
On the bright end of the spectrum, we saw Nikki Reed looking like a gold goddess in a knee length glittery gold Randy Rahm dress while Mila Kunis heated up the stage in her multi-colored Fendi dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes.
Victoria Justice wore an asymmetrical white and yellow Erin Fetherston dress that was perfect for summer.
MTV’s “Teen Wolf” star, Crystal Reed, kept her attire playful and fashion forward in an Issa mint green dress with Asian influence embroidery.
Kristen Stewart wore a silver bright patterned Guishmem dress and Emma Watson wore a Brood grey and blue mini halter neck.
But the star who not only snagged the first MTV “Trailblazer Award,” but who was the best dressed of the night by Pink and Black standards was the quirky and beautiful Emma Stone.
Emma looked smitten in a Martin Grant point black dress with a nude bubble bottom finish. She rocked a red lip with the rest of her make-up and hair, which looked effortless.
Tonight was a big night for many stars, and the fashion was just as big and right on point as the movies which means another golden popcorn win for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
