Style Profile: Who is Rita Ora?

Style Profile: Who is Rita Ora?
By Pilar Orellana

With a combo of street swag and catchy beats, Rita Ora, 21-year-old British singer starlet has made waves through the music and fashion spectrum. Known for her two hit singles “How We Do (Party) and R.I.P,” Jay-Z saw rising talent when signing his new protégé earlier this year to his Roc Nation label.

Opening up for Coldplay’s European tour this summer, she is amongst performers such as Rihanna, J. Cole, and The Ting Tings and is fast becoming the next poster girl of this young pop generation.

Though compared to pop artist Rihanna, Ora has also proven to be a style phenomenon, with her eclectic 90s hip-hop scene inspiration and old school glam.

With her signature bleach blonde curly locks and bright red lips, you will always catch this girl in something bright and vibrant.

And don’t be surprised if you see her bright printed dress rocking some high-top kicks, Ora gives us a reason to keep a close eye on her.

She has proven to be a style chameleon, with mixing elements from the past and the present. Integrating baggy with body-con, distressed with leather, and glitzy sequence with hard metal. Who else do we know can pull off baggy distressed jeans and a mid-drift micro top?

Ora is giving a fresh perspective on rugged, retro, and femininity. From music video to events you will catch this urban diva in vintage snap-back caps and hi-tops with oversized rings and chains while still looking classy in a backless black gown as she wore during London Fashion Week.

Ora screams fun and energy through her youthful music and wardrobe, her debut album, “Ora, expect to release late September. Keep a look out for this rising star, she will be talking the music and fashion world by storm.
