Movie Sequels We Want To See In Theaters
By Chelse Hensley
Hollywood loves making sequels into box-office hits. Some sequels we could definitely live without, such as the sequels to “Wrong Turn” or “Paranormal Activity.” With “Anchorman” recently getting the green light for a sequel, we started thinking about what other movies we’d stand in line at midnight for. Check out our top five picks below!
“Bridesmaids”
A sequel is already in the works but it’s unknown if the entire original cast will sign on. We can’t imagine a sequel without the whole gang together. If it was up to us, “Bridesmaids” would have won the Oscar for ‘Most Awesomely Hilarious Picture Ever,’ here’s hoping “Bridesmaids 2″ is just as funny.
“Inception”
Inception is one of our favorite blockbusters and we can easily see it becoming a huge franchise. There are so many cities to explore and new dreams to flesh out, the possibilities are endless! The film’s director, Christopher Nolan, has expressed interest in a sequel. Stay tuned to see if an “Inception” sequel comes to fruition.
“The Proposal”
This quirky summer hit is one of our favorite comedies- and Ryan Reynold’s ab-tastic body isn’t bad to look at either! Would the couple be married or return to strictly co-workers? Hey, as long as Betty White is in it, we don’t care either way. We’d love to see America’s Sweetheart and the gorgeous Ryan onscreen together again soon.
“Team America: World Police”
Eight years after the original came out, several political and world issues have risen to mainstream culture. “Team America” has gained a cult-like following so it would have no problem at the box office. And, it’s a perfect movie that you and your date can laugh and enjoy together.
“Animal House”
Every frat guy’s dream is to spend his college years reminiscent of “Animal House.” Though this classic comedy could never be duplicated, it is in desperate need of a remake. Our picks to round out the cast include Jonah Hill, Alex Pettyfer, Diego Boneta, and Degrassi’s Landon Liboiron.
