What Happened to the Jonas Brothers?
By Amanda Gurock
You all know them. Maybe you loved them, maybe you didn’t. Whatever the case, I bet you’re wondering why the Jonas Brothers (Kevin, Joe, and Nick) seemed to have disappeared from the music industry. Well, we’re here to assure you that they have been preparing for the comeback of a lifetime.
When Kevin Jonas announced his engagement to his non-famous girlfriend, Danielle Delesea, Jonas fans everywhere wondered if this was the start to the end of the band. Kevin assured the fans that this was just a step forward in the right direction for himself and his family. The couple was married in 2009 and have been living the dream as newlyweds ever since. What has the oldest Jonas been up to in the past three years? Kevin and Danielle currently reside in New Jersey and attend various charity events throughout the year. It was recently announced that their new reality show “Married To Jonas” will premiere this August. The show takes a look into Kevin and Danielle’s life as a couple, and we’ve been told that Kevin’s siblings will make a few appearances.
Joe, the middle Jonas, has been constantly doing new things for the past few years. He played Valerie Bertinelli’s son on “Hot In Cleveland” for a few guest spots as well as organized several Fun Runs to support the Special Olympics. His first solo album “Fastlife”hit stores this past fall with songs like “See No More” and “Just In Love” landing on the charts. He played his first ever solo tour to support the album and continues to do some solo shows now. Recently, Joe made an appearance on FOX’s new reality show “The Choice,” and it was just announced that he will be joining The CW’s new show “The Next” as a celebrity judge.
Nick has been enjoying his time by heading back to his musical theater roots. In 2010, Nick headed out to London to play the role of Marius in Les Miserables at the O2 arena. Following his London role, Nick played the part of Link Larkin in a special three-night show of Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl in California. From California, Nick headed across the country to New York City to take over for Darren Criss as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Nick began his run in January 2012 and performed his last show in May.
Although it seems the brothers are happy with their time away from the band, the boys assure the fans that the wait for new music will end soon. They have been posting pictures and videos of them hard at work in the studio writing and recording. We’ll see what they’ve got up their sleeves soon enough.
