Joining the community of monthly subscription websites dedicated to shoes, fashion and accessories, are ones now dedicated to beauty. The goal here is to offer the consumer a variety of sample size ‘high-end’ or ‘luxury’ products each month at a reasonable price. With a variety of different sites, naturally a makeup and beauty lover would be curious. If you’re on the fence about whether to try any of these websites, we’ve got the rundown on a few of them to hopefully make your decision easier.

Beauty Army
With Beauty Army, a team of experts chooses a selection of samples for you based on your beauty profile. Out of that selection, you can then choose 6 samples for $12/month or $132/year which includes a free month and free shipping. The great thing about this site is it allows you to skip the month whenever you want.

Beauty Box
From the company that brought you StyleMint and JewelMint, Beauty Box offers $29.99 per box, which contains 12 or more beauty products in “full, travel and deluxe sample sizes, plus coupons for future purchases.” Included in your box are 4 products for face, 3 products for eyes & lips, 2 products for hair, and 3 or more products for body – all at an estimated $164 value. The downside? $3.99 for shipping and not knowing what’s in your box until you open it.

Birchbox
For $10/month, a women’s subscription includes high-end beauty and lifestyle sample products. Subscriptions are sold on a first come, first serve basis so once you select your subscription type, you’re added to the mailing list. Like Beauty Box, you won’t know what’s in your box until you pay for and receive it. But what makes Birchbox different? They have a subscription option for men too.

Glossybox
This site recently came to the U.S. and offers 5 travel-sized beauty products each month – don’t be misled by the full-size pictures on the website! Once you join, you choose a subscription plan of either monthly ($21), 6 months ($115), or 12 months ($220). You then create your beauty profile which determines which samples you receive each month as a “surprise!” Shipping is also included in your Glossybox (yay!)

MyGlam
With a large fanbase to back it up, MyGlam was created by five stylists, many of which (if not all) originated as beauty gurus on YouTube. As with the other sites, you start by completing a quiz for a customized beauty profile. Every month, you receive a Glam Bag with 4 to 5 full-sized products or deluxe-sized samples, selected by the stylists. The cool thing about this site is that the stylists stick to their roots and create look-inspiration videos using the products you receive in your bag. They also encourage “Glammies” to upload videos showcasing looks they created with products in their bag. With free shipping, MyGlam offers a monthly $10/bag subscription or a 12-month $110 subscription.
