New U.S. ‘X Factor’ Judges Have Fans Buzzing
These days, it seems that the United States is experiencing quite a bit of what some would call a “British Invasion.” From the excitement over the London Olympics to the boy band One Direction, the U.S. is brewing with British fever. Just last year, the UK’s hit reality competition The X Factor hopped over the pond for its first season. On September 12 The X Factor will return to Fox with fresh talent, new judges and plenty of entertainment.
The X Factor could possibly be one of the most highly anticipated shows this fall simply because of its new, star-studded panel of judges. One familiar face this season will be Simon Cowell who judged season one of the American X Factor and was a longtime judge for the show’s UK version. Cowell can also be credited for mentoring the hit boy band One Direction during the seventh cycle of The X Factor UK. Aside from Cowell, two of pop’s hottest singers will join the cast. Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will team up with Cowell and L.A. Reid this season as members of the judging panel.
Of course the judging panel of stars will draw viewers in, but what good is a show without a dazzling host? American Idol has Ryan Seacrest, America’s Got Talent features Nick Cannon and So You Think You Can Dance stars Cat Deely. So, who will step into the role of host for The X Factor? While the host has yet to be announced, Simon Cowell has confirmed that this season will have not one but two hosts, one man and one woman. While the announcement will not be made until mid-August, rumors about potential hosts have been flying. Some of the rumored hosts are Khloe Kardashian, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and Kelly Osbourne. Who do you think Cowell will name as the next host of The X Factor?
So, if you want to watch Simon Cowell face off against pop sensation Britney Spears tune in Wednesday September 12 and Thursday September 13 for The X Factor season premiere.
