Three Shows to Check Out This Fall
By Katie Richards
As summer comes to a close there is a lot to be sad about. Going back to school and work after bumming around for a few weeks, colder weather and waking up early doesn’t sound so great. Thankfully, there is something to be look forward to. As fall approaches, we TV lovers are blessed with the return of our favorite shows and, of course, series premieres! But which new shows are worth watching and which ones should be left for our Hulu queues?
666 Park Avenue: Hulu it!
With a handful of recognizable faces including Terry O’Quinn from Lost and Vanessa Williams, 666 Park Avenue has all the makings to be a great fall show. Aside from celebrities, the show has glitz, glamour, love, mystery and secrets. When a young couple moves into The Drake, a luxurious apartment complex, to manage the building, everything feels as if it has fallen into place. But what they don’t know is that the building is haunted. So, while 666 Park Avenue seems entertaining and exciting, it may be just a bit too crazy and farfetched for some people to handle. This series will premiere on ABC Sunday, September 30 at 10 p.m.
Go On: Watch!
Matthew Perry (Friends) is back and looking better than ever! Perry plays Ryan King, a lively sportscaster who is struggling with the recent death of his wife. Before going back on the air, King is forced to attend grief counseling where he meets many characters that are all struggling with loss. This NBC comedy-drama is a definite must see for all Friends lovers and for anyone looking for a laugh. The series premier of Go On airs on Tuesday, September 11 at 9 p.m.
The Carrie Diaries: Watch or Hulu it!
For all the Sex and the City lovers out there, this one is for you. The Carrie Diaries is essentially a prequel to the life of the always-fabulous Carrie Bradshaw. If you ever wondered what Bradshaw was like as a teenager back in the 80s, this CW show is your chance to find out. While Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte may not be around just yet, viewers will get to follow Bradshaw through her senior year of high school and hopefully get some great fashion ideas along the way! Even if you aren’t a Sex and the City junkie, catch the show on Hulu. You never know, you just might fall in love with teenage Carrie Bradshaw!
