It might seem odd to describe LC as the girl next door, unless you also grew up in “The Real O.C.” Even though Lauren Conrad didn’t exactly have a normal high school experience, there’s no doubt that her style is relatable and incredibly cool, which is a hard balance to strike.

The key to Conrad’s style is never looking over-done. Although she may have occasionally gone overboard with the peroxide in high school, she has now struck a perfect, natural balance with her honey wheat hair. She has a subtle bronze glow that makes her look healthy, not baked. Even though she will amp up her look with a sequined dress or red lips, the look is never overbearing. In other words, you won’t catch her with fireworks shooting out of her bra like our other famous California Girl.
