How to Organize Your Closet
August 2, 2010 |The ultimate test of organizing is organizing a closet. Do you sort by style? Occasion? Where do all the shoes go? But don’t worry, these tips will have your closet looking perfect in no time!
An important thing to remember is that you should always be able to see most, if not all, of your clothes. If you can see it, you’re more likely to wear it, so you won’t forget about those clothes you have stuffed out of the way. Opt for shelves instead of drawers if possible in your closet, and if you can’t, at least go for drawers that are clear.
Another good way to maximize your organization is to put like clothes together. Put the tanks with the tanks, skirts with the skirts, and so on. Doing this will allow you to see all your options for a certain type of clothing at once! You can also organize by color, putting lights with lights, darks with darks, or by specific color like blues and reds, etc. And if you want to get really neat, you can organize by type, and then by color within the types! Fashion For Vacations
July 29, 2010 | 1Going on vacation is fun. Packing for vacations – not so much. The reason that packing is probably the most dreaded part of going on a vacation is that most people – myself included – lack the least expertise in packing. I took the liberty of putting together a few “vacation wardrobes” for those of you looking to stay at the top of your game even if you don’t have the luxury of your entire wardrobe with you at all times.
The Beach – If you’re going someplace near the beach, make sure that your wardrobe isn’t filled with over-the-top bright colors. Opt for clothes in pastel or lighter shades such as baby blue, pastel pink, mint or light yellows. Topshop’s range of sundresses are the right garments for a beach vacation. The bottoms, in my opinion, are more important than the tops you wear when going to the beach, therefore carrying a variety of shorts and skirts with you can be a good idea. Leggings or jeans can be an option; however, avoid going overboard with these because they are very likely going to contribute nothing but burdensome weight. As for shoes, wedges and flats are more ideal choices than pumps. The look and comfort that wedges provide make me love them. Lastly, remember to bring hairspray if you have frizzy hair. Read More
